I did it. I bought another rose. Argh.

But I'd had it in my mind that maybe I could get a container rose (I certainly don't have any more ground-space to plant more). Then I spotted this rose... a small floribunda that only gets 3 feet tall when full grown... sounds perfect for a container. And I love the color. It smells good, too. It's not the strongest scent in the world, but it's definitely there and I like it.

I weighed the idea of swapping it out with Midas Touch in the front, but I think this one will work best in a container and I'll give Midas Touch a bit longer to win me over.

I love the color of these flowers. Yellow with just a hint of oranginess. The sign at the nursery called it apricot, but IMO it's much too yellow for that.

Well, this is weird. When I bought Carol Burnett, I scoffed at the sign at the garden center that said it was apricot-colored. The flowers were distinctly yellow... on the orange side of yellow, to be sure, but nowhere near apricot.

Well, it's suddenly apricot. So now I'm wondering if it's yellow when it's warmer and apricot when it's cooler. It's interesting, that's for sure!

Time for the next round of Carol Burnett. I'm curious if the flowers will be yellow or apricot. When I bought the plant it was yellow. The next month it was apricot. We'll see...

It rained the night I took that other picture, and then this is what things looked like the following morning.
