One of three buds that are opening up at the same time, the first of 2010. I did not prune French Perfume this year, wanting to give it the best chance to recover from last year's prune-and-chomp. It never really did well last year. So far, the decision to not prune seems a good one. The bush has filled out, new growth is there but has not been chomped, and there are buds!
