June 2008 Julie has requested updated photos of the flower bed she and I planted together. So... Forward rosebushes: Mardi Gras and Neptune. Mardi Gras is growing like mad right now with lots of burgundy around the top, but is also just starting to flower again. Neptune is in the middle of its first flower cycle after growing like crazy and getting really tall compared to when it was planted. The portulaca are really happy by the Neptune rose.
July 2008 My lovely front flower bed, planted with Julie when she came to visit in May. All that was planted in May. Just a little over two months ago! Mardi Gras and Neptune roses before the arch, Catalina in view through the arch. Julia Child is hidden by the arch flowers. Agastache in the left corner, portulaca lining the border.
