Midas Touch Hybrid Tea

I placed an order for spring delivery of eight own-root banded roses. I ordered off the internet from a nursery that got good reports. I got one of every color. This is the yellow I finally chose.

It arrived in March and was teeny tiny. I didn't expect them to be so small. But I planted them. Midas Touch is across from Mardi Gras and between Double Delight and Louise Odier. It gets more shade than it would like from the jacaranda tree. It's put out a few flowers but not a lot

Midas Touch is one of two big disappointments I've had. I don't like the smell. It's so faint to me. And something about the yellow is kind of off-putting... I like that it stays a deeper yellow than many yellow roses that fade as they age, but... meh. It's a very meh rose for me. I'm leaving it alone right now, but it's top of the list of roses to replace unless it turns a corner and wows me next year.
