Princess de Monaco Hybrid Tea 2009

second monaco of 2009 April 2009
The first flower on Princess de Monaco wasn't that pretty by the time I got around to taking a picture of it (Julie was in town and I was distracted), so I went after this one instead. It's the second to bloom (along with about five others that popped open at the same time). But this one has the sunlight hitting it and the swirl in the middle. :>
it's a flower that's INSIDE!! May 2009
I couldn't resist bringing this rose inside now that I've figured out a way to actually have flowers inside without Jezery snarfing and barfing them. It's up on a shelf that she hasn't noticed. I walk by constantly going in and out of the kitchen, so it's not hidden away. And it's right at smelling height. :-)
water on princess de monaco May 2009
I accidentally sprayed it a bit while cleaning out the birdbath. So I took some photos for Julie. ;-)

This bush is blooming up a storm right now, and I have to say they're much prettier than they've been for a long time. I don't know why the bush went kind of ugly for a while, but it seems to have bounced back.

bud fuzz October 2009
I cleared out some pampas grass and the fuzzy bits flew all over the yard. A lot of them have attached to the roses.

I've start experimenting with Picnik frames. This is the first one I played with.

Its eyes are really funny: half brown, half green.
