There was no real reason for me to get New Zealand. Not really. But I was in a garden center during a large sale and came across the rose while browsing. It sounded interesting. I didn't get it that day, however. I controlled myself and only got two roses. But about a month later, I was in a different garden center and there was another sale (they should really stop having sales, because they get me almost every time), and this time I decided to get it. It's a total take-a-chance rose, because I haven't seen it or smelled it. But I haven't gotten any pink roses in a long time and it does sound good.
