When I bought the Windermere rose, it had lots of buds but no flowers open. I didn't think anything of it. I grabbed it.
But... some of those buds are starting to open now, and I am very dubious that this plant is actually Windermere. Windermere is supposed to be creamy white with a tint of apricot. This is a pretty deep coral! The shape of the flower looks similar, and I'm curious to see what will come of it, but I am disappointed that it looks like I don't have Windermere.
Sorry, Julie!
Some possible identities: Abraham Darby, Christopher Marlowe, Jubilee Celebration. I guess I'll find out more as it continues to flower!
