April 2010 Yay, Windermere! A real Windermere!
I bought a rose that was labeled Windermere back in the fall. Turned out it was something I never could identify. The garden centre was nice enough to take it back this spring and order me another one... and it looks like it's the real thing this time. :) |

April 2010 Just a tiny bit more open. This bud's taking forever! |
|
April 2010 Windermere opens up a little bit more... tease. |
|
April 2010 Can finally see inside! Smells really good, too. :) |
|
April 2010 Windermere has sooo many buds. I counted over 40 of them a week or so ago. |

April 2010 Windermere doesn't really open fully... at least not with all its petals intact. It stays cupped, then drops a bunch of petals, and then turns into this for a little while before they fall off, too. |

June 2010 Some aging George Burns blooms in the background. |

July 2010 Old and new Windermeres. |
|
July 2010 There's another candelabra of buds like this that haven't opened, and then the bush will be done with the current flush. Gotta say, it sure puts out the flowers! |

September 2010 Looking up to the sky. |

October 2010 Windermere is proving to be an awesome rose. Really fast to rebloom and always so many flowers! It smells awesome, too. The biggest downside is that the petals fall off really fast. I have to watch out when sniffing them because my nose will send half the flower crashing to the ground. Worth it, though. |

September 2010 Windermere is blooming fast and falling fast. Each morning the flowers from the previous day are gone and new ones have opened. |
|
September 2010 Yay for shadowy backgrounds. :) |
|
September 2010 I liked the side view here with the ruffle, but still the globular bud shape. |
|
September 2010 Windermere and George Burns are next to each other, and both of them think they're in the wrong place... Windermere grows into George Burns, George Burns grows into Windermere. I like the look of them together, though. I just find it funny to find the dropped petals of the one in the other plant's pot. |

September 2010 Two of the strong-smellers side-by-side. The purple one is Neptune. |
